Free Trading Simulator: Practise on Real Market Days and Win Real Cash (No Deposit)

If you are looking for a free trading simulator, you have probably found three kinds of tools: demo accounts at brokers, paper-trading features on charting platforms, and trading games. They look similar, but they do not train the same thing. In this article we compare them, explain how to practise properly, and show how the free TYS Trading Arena lets you train on real market days — with real cash prizes to win every weekend, and nothing to deposit.

Demo account, simulator, trading game: what is the difference?

A demo account is a copy of a real broker account with fake money. It shows the live market. That is useful to learn your platform, but slow: you wait for the market to open, you wait for a setup, and many days nothing happens.

A trading simulator replays the market so you can practise faster. A good simulator uses real price data and lets you trade it as if it were live, without seeing what comes next.

A trading game adds a score: a leaderboard, levels, competitions. The score matters more than it seems — it is the only way to know if your results are good compared with other traders.

The TYS Trading Arena is a mix of the last two: a simulator built on real market days, inside a game with rankings and weekly competitions.

Free to play, real money to win

The Arena is 100% free. You never deposit money and you never pay to play. Yet every weekend there is a trading competition, and the top 3 players win real cash prizes in dollars, paid for real. The next places win TYS Coins. The entry to the competition is paid with TYS Coins that you earn by playing — never with money.

How the simulator works

  • Real market days. Every session is a real New York session, replayed candle by candle, exactly as the price moved that day.
  • No hindsight. The market and the date stay hidden until the end, so you cannot look up what happens next.
  • 10 markets. Nasdaq, S&P 500, Dow Jones, Russell 2000, gold, silver, crude oil, euro, British pound and bitcoin — more than 4,000 real trading days.
  • Three levels. Beginner days are calm, Intermediate days move more, Expert days are the most volatile. You unlock the next level by winning sessions.
  • In your browser. On your phone or your computer, nothing to install.

Practise a prop firm challenge before you pay for one

Many traders buy a funded-account challenge, fail it in a few days and buy another one. The Arena has a Prop firm mode made for this: a $200,000 account with a maximum loss you must never hit, like in a real challenge.

Use it to answer the questions that decide a challenge:

  • How much do you risk per trade before the maximum loss is in danger?
  • How do you react after two losing trades in a row?
  • Do you stop when your plan says stop, or do you try to "win it back"?

If you cannot pass the rules in the simulator, you will not pass them with real money. If you pass them many times in a row, you know your plan works under pressure. There is also a Broker mode, a $10,000 account like at a normal broker, if that is your goal.

How to practise with a trading simulator (the right way)

  1. Fix your rules before the session. Entry, stop, target, maximum trades per day. Write them down.
  2. Trade the simulator like real money. A stop on every trade, and a size you would really take.
  3. Play many different days. Trend days, range days, news days. The value of a simulator is the number of different situations you see.
  4. Keep a short journal. One line per session: what you did well, where you broke your plan.
  5. Review your worst trades. The trades that cost the most teach the most.
  6. Compare yourself. Look at the leaderboard: are your results improving week after week?

Learn trading for free, then decide

A free simulator does not replace experience with real money, but it lets you build it without paying for your mistakes. Practise until your results are steady, then decide what comes next.

Trading involves risk. Results in a simulator do not guarantee results with real money.
