Free Trading Game: Learn to Trade on Real Market Days Without Risking Money

Most people who want to learn trading face the same problem: to get experience you need to trade, and to trade you need to risk money you cannot afford to lose. A trading game solves that problem. You practise on real charts, you make real decisions, and the only thing at stake is your rank on the leaderboard.
In this article we explain what a good trading game should give you, and how the free TYS Trading Arena works.
What makes a trading game useful (and not just fun)
Plenty of "stock market games" exist, but many of them teach the wrong habits. A useful trading game has four things:
- Real market data. Invented charts move in ways real markets never do. If you practise on fake price action, you learn fake patterns.
- No hindsight. If you can see the date and the market, you can look up what happened next. The chart must stay a mystery until the session is over.
- Real constraints. Account size, a maximum loss, a limited number of trades: the rules that decide whether a trader survives.
- A score you can compare. Trading alone, you never know whether your result is good. A leaderboard and competitions show you where you really stand.
How the TYS Trading Arena works
The TYS Trading Arena is a free trading game that runs in your browser, on your phone or your computer. There is nothing to install and no real money involved.
- Every session is a real day of the market, replayed candle by candle. The price moves exactly as it moved that day.
- The market and the date are hidden until the end. You cannot know what comes next: you have to read the chart, like in real trading.
- 10 markets: Nasdaq, S&P 500, Dow Jones, Russell 2000, gold, silver, crude oil, euro, British pound and bitcoin — more than 4,000 real trading days.
- Two modes: Prop firm, a $200,000 account with the maximum-loss rule of a funded-account challenge, and Broker, a $10,000 account like at a normal broker.
- Three levels: Beginner (calm days), Intermediate and Expert (the most volatile sessions). You unlock the next level by winning sessions.
Coins, duels and weekend competitions
Each complete session earns TYS Coins and points for the season leaderboard. You can challenge another player in a duel on the same day of the market, so the only difference between you is your trading.
Every weekend there is a trading competition: the players with the best result in dollars share cash prizes, and the winners are listed in the Hall of Champions.
How to get the most out of a trading game
A trading game only helps if you play it seriously. Some simple rules:
- Trade it like real money. Use a stop on every trade and a size you would really take.
- Write down one lesson per session. What did you do well? Where did you break your plan?
- Play many days, not one day many times. The value is in seeing many different market days: trend days, range days, news days.
- Watch your worst trades, not your best ones. The trades that cost the most teach the most.
Trading game or demo account?
A demo account shows the live market, so you wait hours for one good setup. A trading game replays real days one after another: in one evening you can trade several full sessions. Both are useful — the game for volume and practice, the demo to get used to your real platform.
